Kasur: Female complainant turns out to be ‘kidnapper’
KASUR: The female complainant of a case turned out to be an absconder in a kidnap case here on Thursday night. Aashi of Depalpur, in an application to the A-Division SHO, stated that she had been living with Tariq Mehmood, a fish trader, after being divorced by her husband eight months ago. She said that Tariq had promised to contract marriage with her. She said that he with his relatives tortured her, shaved her head and expelled her from the house when she asked him to contract the marriage with her. On the orders of DPO Khurram Ali, the A-Division police registered a case against Tariq Mehmood under sections 380, 376 and 337/B of the PPC.
Later, it was disclosed that the woman was wanted by the Hujra Shah Muqeem in a case registered under sections 496-A and 376 of the PPC. Sources disclosed that her name was Asia and she was involved in the kidnap of a girl. The police had been searching her since then. A police party arrested her and took her to Hujra Shah Muqeem for interrogation. However, the A-Division police are investigating the case registered by her. The police are also investigating whether the woman was divorced by her husband or not.
