Peshawar: FIA arrests fraudster
PESHAWAR: The Federal Investigation Agency has arrested a man with fake documents and stamps of high ranking government officials and for taking money from people with promise to get them appointed in different government departments and foreign missions. A source in the FIA said crime circle inspector Shahid Ilyas heading a team had arrested Mohammad Anis of Jamal Abad Swabi and recovered documents from his possession the other day. The accused has taken at least Rs0.4 million from eight people as advance with the promise that the rest of Rs2.6 million would be paid soon for appointments in motorway police as junior patrolling officers.
Some of them had been assured that they would be provided foreign visas. The source said the accused had so far deceived many people. He is Hafiz-i-Quran and a habitual criminal.
