Islamabad: 12 arrested over sale of crackers
ISLAMABAD: The Aabpara police on Tuesday raided a market and arrested 12 persons for allegedly selling explosive crackers despite a ban. Another charge against them is that they were involved in gambling at the time of their arrest. On a tip-off, Aabpara SHO Khalid Masood Akram, ASI Shakeel Ahmed and some cops raided Madina Market and arrested Abdul Jabbar and Khursheed Ahmed from there for selling explosive crackers illegally. Police also seized huge quantity of crackers from them.
The same police team also arrested 10 other persons for gambling while sitting on 7th Avenue green belt. The cops recovered the stake money, watches, mobiles and other valuables from their possession. Meanwhile, the Aabpara and Kohsar police arrested 33 one-wheelers during separate operations. Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway from them.
