Karachi: Bail plea rejected
KARACHI: District and Sessions Judge (South) Hasan Feroz rejected the bail plea of an alleged killer, Tanveer Ahmed. The complainant in the case, Inamullah, said his brother Waseem Ahmed was killed on May 21, 2010 by the accused. It was argued that the alleged killer had intercepted Waseem when he was coming out of a bank. The accused wanted to loot Waseem, but the latter refused to hand over his money. At this, Tanveer killed him on the spot.
The family of the victim later registered a case at the Frere police station. On Thursday, the court also heard the arguments of the defence counsel, but found no merit in releasing the accused and dismissed the bail application.
