Peshawar: Man kidnapped from Lahore recovered in Charsadda
PESHAWAR: A man abducted from Punjab for ransom was recovered by the police from Charsadda district during a raid in which the three kidnappers were also arrested, police said. They said Muhammad Nawaz, son of Muhammad Ayub, resident of Deputy Colony Road Shahab Park Lahore, was kidnapped for ransom on August 7 and shifted to Charsadda. According to police statement, the Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Imtiaz Altaf received information from reliable sources that the kidnapped person was in Kheshgi village. It said the kidnappers had received Rs200,000 and were demanding more money for the release of Muhammad Nawaz.
The CCPO formed a raiding team under the supervision of SSP (Operations) Tahir Ayub. The SP Rural Shafiullah Khan, DSP Chamkani Fazal Wahid and SHO Chamkani Police Station Inayatullah along with police constables were part of the team.
The police took action in Kheshgi area and succeeded in safe recovery of the kidnapped man. Three kidnappers identified as Hakeem Khan and Shahzeb, residents of Sher Bahadur Killay, and Siraj, a resident of Kheshgi, were arrested from the spot. The police registered the case and started investigation in the case.
