Lahore: Police awarded 5-day remand of accused
LAHORE: An Anti–Terrorism Court on Friday awarded to police six–day physical remand of Mian Khan, who allegedly gouged the eye and cut the nose and tongue of a barber in Deepalpur on Eid day. On Friday, police produced the accused before the court and sought his remand to carry out initial investigation. On this, the court has granted six–day physical remand of the accused, directing police to produce him again on August 31 along with the investigation report.
Previously, the court had granted seven–day physical remand of Ali Sher, Javed, Muhammad Hussain and Shabbir, the accused in the same case.
As per case details, the accused along with their leader Mian Khan, a landlord of district Okara, had gouged the eye and cut the nose and tongue of barber Yousaf over his alleged illicit relationship with the landlord’s daughter.
As per police reports, the barber was at home on Eid day when a woman of the village, NasimBibi, called him to nearby fields where Mian Khan along with his five accomplices was waiting for him. The landlord suspected that the victim had illicit relations with his daughter, MukhtarBibi.
