Karachi: Mother fled after dropping 2 little children into Karachi’s Malir River
KARACHI: A mother fled from the scene after dropping her own two little children into Malir River, SAMAA reported on Tuesday. According to details, a mother told her two little children, 9–year old Nawab and 5-year old Zaibunissa, that she is taking them to park for visit but she fled away after throwing both into water of Malir River. Police have informed that both children were found in injured condition from Malir River and the SHO of Shahra–e–Faisal Police Station, Muhammad Siddiq has said that they do not know anything about these children’s mother, who seems to be a beggar.
Both children were moved to National Institute of Children’s Health (NICH), where doctors have said that both children are currently in condition of shock.
Well known Pakistani social worker Abdul Sattar paid visit to these children at the NICH for their custody; he said on the occasion that this is a worst example of poverty and deprivation.
After possible recovery till Wednesday, it will be decided that whether they should be handed over to Mr. Edhi or not, the NICH doctors added.
