Islamabad: 30 vehicles, 130 motorcycles impounded by capital police
ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Police on Saturday impounded 30 vehicles and 130 motorbikes during general hold up in the city and black papers were also removed from 30 vehicles, the police spokesman said. During the checking, 30 vehicles and 130 motorbikes being driven without documents were impounded while black papers were also removed from 30 vehicles. Inspector General of Police (Islamabad) Bani–Amin Khan said that purpose of starting search exercise in various areas is to ensure foolproof security in the capital.
He also directed the anti-car lifting cell to maintain special vigilance and conduct time-to-time checking to curb crime of car lifting. Bani–Amin Khan directed all police officials to enhance patrolling in their respective areas and use all resources in this regard to curb activities of anti–social elements.
