Islamabad: 51 murder cases solved in federal capital
ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad police traced a total of 51 murders, including 12 blind murder cases during the current year, and collected vital evidences against the culprits and submitted the challans of these cases in courts. Inspector General of Police Bani Amin Khan assigned special task to heads of all police stations to resolve murder cases and provide relief to the families of victims. In special directions, he said that there is no alternate to life, however, it is the responsibility of police to trace the killers of innocent people and provide justice to the bereaved families.
The IGP directed that priority be given to investigation of murder cases and booking of culprits. Following these directions, Islamabad police succeeded in solving 51 murders after collecting forensic as well as other vital evidences. Every available resource and latest investigation techniques were used to resolve these cases. Due to these efforts, City Zone traced 10 murder cases and Saddar Zone traced 15 murder cases.
Similarly, Industrial area zone police solved four murder cases while Rural Zone traced 22 murder cases.
