Karachi: Warehouse owner among 3 murdered
KARACHI: A warehouse owner was among three people killed in the city, police said on Friday. A man was gunned down in Nazimabad No 7, near an overhead bridge. Sub–Divisional Police Officer Rustam Khattak of the Nazimabad Division said Wazeer Ali alias Mohib, a resident of Mohajir Camp No 14, Baldia and a private company employee, had arrived in the area in the evening to meet somebody when two men on a motorcycle opened fire on him. The victim was taken to the ASH, where he expired. The police officer said the victim had suffered two bullet wounds to his upper torso. Khattak said after going though the victim’s cell phone record, including text messages, the police suspected that he was involved in a romantic affair and that could be linked to the murder.
The victim was also a Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) supporter. He has left behind two widows. Warehouse owner killed

SHO Nawaz Gondal said Zainul Abideen, the owner of a scrap warehouse in SITE and a resident of Mithadar, was heading towards a bank near Habib Bank Chowrangi in the morning, when two men on a motorcycle had intercepted his vehicle and shot him. The victim had suffered a bullet wound to his head and another to his chest. Police investigators said they were probing the possibility of the victim receiving threats from a group of extortionists.
The bullet–riddled body of Zainab was found in Gulshan–e-Mazdoor.
Saeedabad SHO Mohammed Irshad said the woman was identified as Zainab alias Annie, a resident of Daryabad No.10, Lyari. The body was shifted to the CHK. She had been shot five times and the body also bore torture marks. Zainab’s husband, Asif, is presently in jail for his involvement in murder cases.
