ASI, religious party worker among 4 dead in Karachi violence
KARACHI: Four people, including a police officer, lost their lives in the ongoing violence in the city over the past 24 hours, SAMAA reported. ASI Ali Muhsin was shot dead by unidentified gunmen at Kashmir Road on Tuesday. Police said he was shot at close range. His funeral prayers were offered in Rizvia Imam Bargah as the policeman’s killing sowed tension in the area. Two watchmen, Zamin Shah and Zakir Shah, were shot dead in Pir Abad’s Frontier Colony while their one associate, Gul Hayat, was injured in an armed attack by unknown miscreants.
Separately, an activist of a religious group was gunned down in New Karachi area. He was identified as Muhammad Zaid Jan.
Meanwhile, Rangers claimed to have arrested seven suspects of gang war during a search operation in different areas of Lyari locality, recovering arms and ammunition from the outlaws.
