Islamabad: Outlaws held in operation
ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad police have arrested five outlaws from various areas of the city and recovered weapons, drugs and wine from their possession, a police spokesman said on Wednesday. According to details, Sub–Inspector ManshaHussain from Kohsar Police Station arrested InayaturRehman for having 15 grammes of heroin. ASI Muhammad Shafique from Shehzad Town Police Station nabbed Taj Muhammad for possessing a 30–bore pistol while ASIs Muhammad Nawaz and Zulfiqar Ali recovered one pistol each from Ali Aksar and Shakeel Hussain.
LoiBher police ASI Asif Riaz nabbed a bootlegger, identified as Saadul Amin, for having three bottles of wine. Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway.
Meanwhile, Islamabad IG Bani Amin Khan has said that the capital police have achieved great success in foiling nefarious designs of mischievous elements and its personnel even sacrificed their lives to ensure protection to the lives and property of the citizens. Talking to a 25-member delegation of probationary officers of Pakistan Provincial Services Academy, Peshawar, on Wednesday, the IG said that the Islamabad police have rendered many sacrifices in the war against terrorism and its personnel averted many threats with courage and even sacrificed their lives in the line of duty.
“We are proud of our martyrs who have written a golden chapter in the history of the Islamabad police with their blood and ensured protection to the lives and property of the citizens,” he added. The IG also told delegation in detail about the various wings of Islamabad police, including Operations Division, Security Division, Logistic Division and Traffic Division.
