Karachi: Father, son among 3 shot dead
KARACHI: Three people, including a man and his son, were killed in different parts of the city on Wednesday. Siraj Afridi, 65, and his son, Gul Nawaz, 35, were targeted by four armed motorcyclists near KhaybarChowk in Ittehad Town, while they were sitting outside their general store, Mochko police said. The bodies were shifted to the Civil Hospital, where an MLO said the victims had suffered five bullets each. The victims hailed from Dara Adam Khel and their murder is believed to be over personal enmity. Separately, Hussain Ahmed, 30, suffered a bullet wound after his neighbour shot him following an altercation between them in Korangi 2-1/2, Zaman Town police said. His family members tried to take him to the JPMC but he breathed his last on his way.
According to the police, a scuffle broke out between their children during playtime and when Ahmed tried to stop it his neighbour got worked up and opened fire on him.
Two bodies found
The strangulated body of a 28–year–old man was found near a graveyard in Quyyumabad, said Korangi Industrial Area police on Wednesday.
On seeing the body, a gravedigger informed the police, who shifted the victim to the JPMC for a post–mortem.
According to the police, the man was kidnapped before being killed and dumped into the graveyard.
Meanwhile, the bullet-riddled body of Asim Hussain was found near Timber Market, said Napier police.
Some passers-by saw the body and informed the police, who shifted the victim to the Civil Hospital Karachi for legal formalities. An MLO said the body bore tortured marks and two bullet wounds. The 25–year–old was a labourer and a resident of Korangi 2–1/2.
