Criminals have field day in Pindi
RAWALPINDI: An auto–theft gang deprived citizens of four cars and two motorcycles in various localities of the city here on Thursday. Meanwhile, three armed muggers entered a shop within the limits of Police Station (PS) Pirwadhai and looted Rs 175,000 and two mobile phones. The area police registered cases and started investigation. According to details, a citizen, Meherban Shah, appeared before the New Town police and lodged a complaint that vehicle lifters had taken away his Corolla car (LE–8542). The police received his application and taken up the case.
Another Toyota Corolla car (UG–901) owned by one Taimoor Tariq has been stolen from Sadiqabad while another car (LZS 9583) of one Rabia Basri was also stolen from the limits of Airport area.
In Wah Cantt, Waqar Ahmed informed the city police that unidentified intruders picked up his car (VK–725).
A motorcycle (RLF–9675) owned by Zafar Hayyat was stolen from the area of Gawalmandi and Faisal Azkar’s motorcycle bearing registration number YR–346 has been taken away from the precinct of PS Sadiqabad.
A citizen Rana Muhammad Nawaz appeared before PS Pirwadhai officials and filed an application in which he stated that three unknown dacoits carrying sophisticated weapons stormed into his shop and made the entire staff hostage at gunpoint. Later, the outlaws collected Rs 175,000 cash and two mobile phones and fled.
The area police, taking action on the complaints of victims, lodged cases and initiated interrogation with no arrest or recovery so far.
