Faisalabad: House trespass; SHO among 27 cops booked
FAISALABAD: On the orders of the LHC, the Sargodha Road police registered a case against SHO Yasir Jatt and 26 policemen on the charge of trespassing on a house and taking away gold ornaments worth Rs 600,000 and Rs 100,000 in cash. Yasmin Bibi, in an application to the LHC, stated that the SHO and policemen of the Sargodha Road police had raided her house a few months back and taken away cash and valuables. She said that she had been striving for the case against the policemen since then. When contacted, SHO Yasir Jatt expressed his ignorance about the incident and said that he had wrongly been implicated in the case.
In another case, the Anti–Corruption Establishment registered a case against Sub–Inspector Mazhar Abbas of the Mochiwala police on the charge of changing supplementary statements in different cases. It was alleged that Sub–Inspector Mazhar Abbas had declared guilty the rivals of Riaz Hussain and later changed the supplementary statement after receiving bribe.
