Islamabad: 6 held on charges of immoral activities
ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Police have arrested six persons for their alleged involvement in immoral activities during a raid on a guesthouse in Sector I-10/4, a police spokesman said. The police also have arrested four outlaws involved in theft cases from other areas. IGP Islamabad Bani–Amin Khan has issued directions to all heads of police stations for massive crackdown against guesthouses involved in immoral activities and also against drug pushers. Following his directions, a team of Sabzi Mandi Police Station headed by SHO Asjad Mehmud including ASI Muhammad Saeed and others raided at Pearl Cattle guesthouse in Sector I-10/4 and arrested six persons identified as Rizwan, Yasir Zareen, Tanveer, Javed, Zarqa, Ayesha.
In another incident, an alleged thief, Tajamul Hussain Shah, was arrested by Margallah Police, who was overpowered by Muhammad Shahid Iqbal along with neighbours when he entered his house in Sector G-9/4 for alleged theft.
Meanwhile, the Islamabad Police have registered 48 cases against those involved in immoral activities and arrested a total of 304 persons including 161 women during current year, a police spokesman said.
A total of 48 cases were registered at various police stations and 304 persons were arrested in connection with these cases while 78 bottles of liquor were also recovered during various raids.
During this year, 162 gamblers were arrested while hundreds of mobile phones and stake money as well as valuables were recovered from them.
