Karachi: 3 killed in separate acts of violence
KARACHI: A cop, among three people, was killed in separate acts of violence here on Tuesday. The policeman was killed in an incident of target killing at Sector 5-E, Orangi Town within the precincts of Pirabad police station. SHO Ashfaq Baloch said that unidentified pillion riders opened targeted fire on 40–year–old Muhammad Nawaz, son of Ahmed Ali, resultantly he received fatal bullet wounds and died instantly. His body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for autopsy and later handed over to heirs. In another incident, a man was killed and other was injured in Sikandar Goth within the limits of Sachhal police station. An official said that unidentified armed pillion riders opened indiscriminate fire on bystander near his house, resultantly two people, Saleh Uddin, 38, son of Awal Khan and Siraj Uddin, 47, sustained multiple bullet wounds. They were taken to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre, where Saleh succumbed to his injures.
Meanwhile, a man was killed within the jurisdiction of Pirabad police station. Police said that 45–year–old Abdul Ghafoor, son of Dilbar Khan, was shot dead by unidentified armed riders. His body was brought to ASH for medico–legal formalities. The deceased hailed from Afghanistan. Police suspected that personal enmity was behind the incident.
