Karachi: 5 killed in separate incidents
KARACHI: Five people were killed in separate incidents on Tuesday. Farhat, 20, was swept away by strong tides near the Clifton beach. His body was recovered shortly after and shifted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for medico–legal formalities. Separately, Najeeb, 25, and his friend Ayaz, 28, were riding a motorcycle when they were hit by a recklessly driven vehicle near the Karsaz bridge in the Sharea Faisal police limits. The two suffered injuries and were rushed to the JPMC, where Najeeb was pronounced dead on arrival. In Baldia Town, Muhammad Qayyum, 25, was killed and his cousin Muhammad Asghar Ali, 35, injured when their motorcycle was run over by a vehicle.
Separately, Muhammad Hanif, 25, and Muhammad Hashim, 28, were rammed by a loaded truck into a pond of a feed factory, where both drowned.
Police arrested the truck driver and seized his vehicle.
