Lahore: Arrest warrants for 3 cops
LAHORE: Additional District and Sessions Judge on Tuesday issued the non–bailable arrest warrants for two Lytton Road Sub Inspectors and a Constable for not appearing before the court as prosecution witnesses. The court has directed the DIG and SSP concerned to arrest the said officials and make sure their presence in the court on the next hearing. Lytton Road Police arrested an accused Muhammad Nawaz and had allegedly seized three kilograms of hashish from his possession. Later, police had submitted a challan against Nawaz. Two Sub Inspectors, including Karamat Ali and Allah Rakha and one Constable, were nominated as prosecution witnesses in this case, but they were not appearing before the court.
The court has also directed the SHO, Lytton Road, to make sure the presence of witnesses in the court, but the SHO did not comply with the court orders.
On Tuesday, the court along with issuing non–bailable arrest warrants of the said police officials has also admonished the SHO, Lytton Road.
