Rawalpindi: 13 looted by muggers at DhokeElahiBakhsh
RAWALPINDI: A gang of three muggers looted 13 bike–riders and pedestrians in a busy street of DhokeElahiBakhsh in broad daylight on Wednesday and snatched cash, mobile phone sets, gold and other valuables from them after holding them at gunpoint, police sources and victims said. Three gunmen — one wearing jean-shirt and two ‘shalwarqamiz’ — targeted people in Street no.5 with a bike, ready to escape.The locals claimed that the three-member gang has been active for the last seven months but the Waris Khan Police have not taken any action against them.
They said that the gangsters looted four persons on Tuesday and hundreds of such incidents had occurred during the last couple of months.
The people of the area alleged that the gangsters were enjoying protection of the Waris Khan Police.
