Karachi: Another 4 killed in violence
KARACHI: Four people were killed in different parts of the metropolis here on Thursday. In the first incident, a man was gunned down near Mina Bazaar area within the remit of PIB Police Station. Police officials said the victim Khalid, 40, son of Allahwala was a market watchman and was doing his duty when unidentified culprits riding a motorcycle came close to him and started indiscriminate firing. Resultantly, the victim received multiple bullet injuries and died on the spot. After getting information, police rushed the scene and shifted the body to Civil Hospital Karachi for autopsy. Police said the motive behind the killing is yet to be ascertained. Another man was killed in the incident of firing near Muzafarabad Colony area within the limits of Quaidabad Police Station.
Police said that victim Khalid, 30, son of Shahi Reham was sitting outside his home when two armed riders target him. The victim received multiple bullets and died on the spot. Police rushed on the spot and shifted the body to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for postmortem and later handed over the body to family. Police suspect personal enmity was the motive behind the murder. In another incident of firing, a man was shot dead in Ayub Goat area within the remit of Sohrab Goat Police Station. Police said victim Sarwar, 30, son of Nabibaksh, a resident of Muhammad Goat was on his way to home from somewhere when unidentified culprits killed him. After getting information, police rushed to the scene and shifted the body to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for legal formalities. Police lodged FIR against unknown culprits. Further investigation is underway. Police found 10–day-old decomposed body from Kashmir Imam Bargah located near riverbed within the remits of Pak Colony Police Station. According to police, body was around ten days old. Police said unidentified culprits killed the victim and threw the body at the said place. After getting information police rushed on the spot and shifted the body to Abbas Shaheed Hospital for autopsy.
