Faisalabad: Stoppage of 2-month salary; Wasa inspector commits suicide
FAISALABAD: Wasa Inspector Abdul Hameed committed suicide in protest against stoppage of his two–month salary by the authorities without any reason. Abdul Hameed, whose retirement was due after two months, met his officers for the release of his salary, but they did nothing in this regard. He was disappointed by the behaviour of his superiors and went to his house after borrowing some money from one of his colleagues at 11am. He returned to his duty after giving the money for the fee of his sons. When he did not reach his house after duty, his brother-in-law Abdul Qayyum rang him up on the office number, but the security guard expressed his ignorance about his whereabouts.
His relatives launched a search, but to no avail. Later, they received a call from his office and someone informed them that Abdul Hameed had committed suicide. The body has been shifted to Allied Hospital for autopsy.
