Karachi: Man who ‘stole 40,000 litres of furnace oil’ remanded
KARACHI: Judicial Magistrate (West-II) Sohail Ahmed Mashori on Wednesday remanded a man accused of stealing furnace oil in the custody of the SITE-B police for a day. The investigation officer informed the judge that Ali Bahadur had stolen 40,000 litres of furnace oil from an oil tanker owned by Malik Basheer Ahmed on August 9, 2012. Ahmed registered a case against at the SITE-B police station and later the accused was arrested.
The investigation officer sought physical remand of the accused so he could investigate the matter. The court allowed physical remand for one day and directed the investigation officer to bring back the accused on Thursday (today).
