Islamabad: Stolen items worth Rs133m recovered during this year
ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Police recovered stolen items worth Rs133.2 million during current year after resolving 343 cases successfully, the police spokesman said. The heads of all police stations gave special directions to investigation officers of various cases to make renewed efforts. During this year, a total of 343 theft cases were resolved and hundreds of theft accused were arrested besides a total recovery of stolen items worth Rs13, 32, 36,000 from them.
City Zone police arrested a total of 133–theft accused and 75 cases were resolved along with recovery worth Rs46,52,000. Similarly, Saddar Zone resolved 136 theft cases and arrested 213 thieves besides recovering stolen items worth Rs9,78,77,000 from them.
Likewise, Industrial Area Police successfully completed investigation in 57 cases and arrested 93 thieves besides recovering stolen items worth Rs1,57,39,000 from them. Rural Zone Circle 75 cases and arrested 134 thieves along with recovery of Rs1,49,68000 from them.
