Okara: 30 bottles of Indian liquor seized
OKARA: The Sutlej Rangers claimed to have forced two Indian bootleggers to flee and recovered 30 bottles of liquor worth Rs 42,000 from them. On a tip-off, the Rangers kept a watch between Pillar No 230 and 231 near Mandi Ahmadabad. At midnight, they saw two men entering Pakistan with bundles on their heads. The Rangers asked the men to stop, but they threw the bundles and started firing towards them. The Rangers also retaliated, forcing them to flee to the Indian side. The Rangers checked the bundles and found 30 bottles of liquor worth Rs 42,000. The Mandi Ahmadabad police have registered a case.
