Karachi: 6 ‘criminals’ remanded in CID custody
KARACHI: Judicial Magistrate (East) GhulamMurtaza on Wednesday remanded in CID police custody six men allegedly involved in robberies, attempts to murder, police encounters, possession of illegal arms and other street crimes. The police were told to complete the investigations by September 29 when the hearing of the cases would resume. They had also committed dacoity and looted huge sums from a local bank. The six men — QaiserIrshad alias Babar, FaizurRehman, Arshad Khan, Nauman, Missal Khan alias DeraKhoda and Abdul Qayum alias JhooleLal — were arrested in Pehlwan Goth on September 25.
The court heard that the accused were also carrying a Kalashnikov and other illegal arms at the time of their arrests.
Police said the accused were involved in a number of incidents of robbery, including bank heists, mobile–snatching, attempts to murder and police encounters.
