Islamabad: 17 outlaws held
ISLAMABAD: Islamabad police have arrested 17 outlaws from various areas of the city and recovered one van, 204 wine bottles and weapons from their possession, a police spokesman said on Thursday. On a tip-off, Sub–Inspector Javed Hussain from Kohsar Police Station arrested Sharif alias Peter, Boota Masih, Atif and Yusuf during patrolling and recovered 67 wine bottles and 75 cans of beer from their possession. Sub–Inspector Liaqat Ali arrested three bootleggers Arif alias Butt, Saeed alias Bhola and Kahsi for possessing 48 wine bottles.
ASI Muhammad Nawaz from Secretariat Police Station arrested Afzal in possession of two wine bottles while ASI Asim Ali from Kohsar police nabbed Maqsood Masih besides recovering 12 wine bottles from him.
ASI Gul Khan from Sabzi Mandi police apprehended Fazal-ur-Rehman and recovered stolen cash and CNIC from him. Sub–Inspector Muhammad Ishaq from Loi Bher police station arrested four persons identified as Asif, Shahid Musa, Ayesha Shaukat and Sobia for their alleged involvement in immoral activities.
ASI Muhammad Tariq from Sihala police arrested Raja Sohail Farooq for having 30 bore pistol while ASI Khuram Shabbir arrested Rafaqat Mehmud for also possessing 30 bore pistol. Inspector Muhammad Aslam from Anti-Car Lifting Cell recovered tempered Suzuki van (LWB–8832) from an accused Jameel Azad.
Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway from them.
