Islamabad: 2 young men gunned down in revenge at Ghori Town
ISLAMABAD: Two young men, in their twenties, were gunned down by four assailants, equipped with lethal weapons, at Ghori Town on Sunday evening after the victims allegedly killed a young man in Rawalpindi on Saturday night over a land dispute, police said. The Koral Police have registered a case against four men — Mohammad Mushtaq, Tariq, Nasir and Safeer Chan Shah — but haven’t arrested any of them till the filing of this report. The victims allegedly killed a young man and wounded two others at Dhoke Lalial falling in the jurisdiction of the Airport Police Station on Saturday night, police said. The Koral Police said that four gunmen attacked a house at Ghori Town and gunned down two young men — Shehryar, 21, and Danial, 23 — and escaped from the scene. The dead bodies were shifted to the hospital for post mortem, police said adding that they haven’t yet received a complaint from the victim party.
The Airport Police, quoting the statement of Liaquat Ali, resident of Dhoke Lalial, said that Mst. RehmanBibi and her daughter Ruqayya came to his house and scuffled with women of his family using filthy language against them. Meanwhile, Ruqayya went out and came back with her brothers Shehryar and Danial who opened fire and killed ZakirHussain and wounded Pervaiz and Bashir.
Four men, Mohammad Mushtaq (real uncle of Zakir), Tariq, Nasir and Safeer Chan Shah went to Ghori Town to take revenge and gunned down the two brothers — Shehryar and Danial — and escaped from the scene. Police claimed that deceased Zakir Hussain was the driver of security chief of a land tycoon.
