Lahore: Old enmity claims life
LAHORE: A 40-year-old man was killed over old enmity in the Chung police limits on Saturday. Police have registered a case against the accused with no arrest so far. The deceased was identified as Safdar, a resident of EMC Scheme on Multan Road. A police official said that the victim had an old enmity with Kashif Shah over the killing of Safdar’s brother and the victim was pursuing the said case. The accused stopped the victim from pursuing the case but he refused to do so, over which the former had nursed grudge against the latter. On the day of the incident, Safdar was standing outside his house when Kashif Shah and his accomplices approached him and opened firing. As a result, the victim received injuries while the accused managed to escape from the scene.
The victim was rushed to a local hospital where he succumbed to injuries. Local police, after being informed, reached the scene, collected evidence and, later, shifted the body to morgue. Police have also conducted raids to arrest the accused but failed to nab them.
