Peshawar: PHC CJ grants conditional bail to brothel runner
PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court (PHC) on Monday granted conditional bail to a woman charged with indulging in prostitution and running a brothel and directed her to appear before a prayer leader of the nearest mosque for receiving Islamic education for one month. A single bench of Chief Justice Dost Muhammad Khan directed the head of Zarghuni Mosque, situated in Phase-IV of Hayatabad to impart Islamic education to the woman for one or two hours every morning to guide her to the right path.
The court directed the woman, whose nick name is Neelam and has been charged by the Hayatabad Police Station for indulging in prostitution, to regularly attend the Islamic teaching sessions or else her conditional bail would be revoked.
The bench also granted bail to two other persons, including a man charged and arrested along with Neelam at her house and directed them to submit two sureties bonds worth Rs50,000 each for their release.
