Gang of bandits nabbed in Wah Cantt
WAH CANTT: Taxila police on Tuesday nabbed a gang of four member bandits within two hours who looted a jeweler shop in a broad day light and recovered the looted booty. Police sources said that four bandits posing themselves as customers entered in to a jeweler shop located on Faisal Shaheed road around 2 PM and make hostage owner of the shop on the gun point and fled away with gold ornaments worth Rs0.4 million in a car. On getting information a police party headed by Sub–divisional Police Officer DSP Raja Taifour Akhter and Inspector Malik Mohammad Khan launched a massive chase against them and succeed to intercept them near a telephone factory on Taxila-Haripur road.
On seeing police parties, they disembarked from vehicle and hide in woods and opened firing at police officials chasing them. Meanwhile more Police enforcement was called from different police station and after one hour cross fire between police and outlaws they were over powered. The city Police Officer Azhar Hameed Khokhar has announced commendation certificate to the police officers who have made this operation successful.
