Islamabad: 29 outlaws nabbed in twin cities
ISLAMABAD: Police have arrested 14 outlaws including absconders and recovered hashish and wine from their possession, a police spokesman said on Wednesday. According to a press note issued from office of SSP, Sub–Inspector Muhammad Haneef from Shehzad Town police station arrested Fawad Khan during patrolling and recovered 400 grams hashish from him. Sub-Inspector Muhammad Riaz from Aabpara police apprehended Shehzad Hanif and recovered one wine bottle from him. ASI Guldad from Women police station arrested Manzooran Bibi, Nusrat and Sultana for their alleged involvement in immoral activities.
During the campaign against the absconders, Islamabad police arrested a total of nine proclaimed offenders. Shalimar police and Secretariat police arrested two absconders each while BharaKahu police nabbed three absconders. Likewise, Ramana police, Nilore and Tarnol police apprehended one proclaimed offender each.
IGP Islamabad Bani Amin Khan and SSP Islamabad Yaseen Farooq have directed all police officials to intensify campaign against criminals as well as absconders. They have categorically asked them to ensure effective policing in their jurisdictions and provide maximum relief to citizens.
Meanwhile, Rawalpindi police, in its crackdowns against anti-social elements, have arrested 15 criminals and recovered charas, liquor and illegal weapons from different areas of the district.
Police recovered 4965-gram charas, 28 bottles of liquor, three 30–bore pistols with 11 rounds and one 32–bore revolver with three rounds from the possession. Police arrested Jameel on recovery of 3,400-gram charas.
Waris Khan police apprehended Irfan and Safdar for having 1,300 and 115-gram charas respectively.
Civil Line police nabbed Iqbal with 150-gram charas. Similarly, Rawat police held Jaffar on recovery of 15 liquor bottles. New Town police nabbed Raheel for having six liquor bottles. Shehzad was sent behind the bars as police recovered seven bottles of liquor from his possession.
Nasir, Maqsood, Zafar and Tariq were arrested for having illegal weapons.
