Karachi: 7 men killed in different act of violence
KARACHI: Seven people including three activists of MQM were gunned down in different act of violence in different parts of the City here on Wednesday. An MQM worker was shot dead in Ranchore Line within the precincts of Garden police station. Police officials said that the victim namely Asif, 25, son of Abdul Karim was sitting at his tailoring shop when unidentified armed men riding a motor bike came and opened fire on him. Resultantly, he received multiple bullet injuries and died on the spot. Police found two bodies in gunny bags including an activist of MQM from Purana Haji Camp near Rehmania Masjid within the limits of Nipear police station. Police officials said that the deceased identified as Farhan Shah, 22, son of Saleem Shah and Abid, 27, son of Sadiq was tortured and shot dead before his body was throw at the said place. Police said Abid affiliated with MQM, was kidnapped by unidentified culprits from somewhere. On being informed, police rushed on the spot and shifted the bodies at Civil Hospital Karachi for postmortem and later handed over to their families. Another body of MQM worker was found tied with ropes near Lasbella Pipe Factory within the jurisdiction of Jamshed Quarter police station. Police officials said that the victim identified as Shaikh Arif, 35, son of Noor Ahmed was kidnapped by unidentified culprits two days ago from Liquatabad.
The kidnappers tortured and shot him multiple times and later threw the body at the said place. A young man was shot dead in Gulistan Rafee within the remits of Al–Falah police station. Police officials said that the victim Shahzad Shah, 25, son of Bashir Shah was shot dead at swimming poll where unidentified gunmen sprayed bullet on him and manage to flee from the scene. Resultantly, he sustained bullets on his head and died on the spot. Police rushed on the spot and shifted the body at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center for autopsy. A man was gunned down in Shahra-e-Faisal within the limits of Ferozabad police station. Police officials said that the victim Atiq, 25, son of Ahmed was on his way to his work from bank when unidentified dacoits riding on a motorbike came and shot him. On resistance they start indiscriminate firing on him. Resultantly, he succumbed to his injuries at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre.
