Sargodha: Robber’s tip-off leads to arrests
SARGODHA: Police have smashed a inter–district robbers’ gang and recovered booty worth 5.1 million. Police teams were formed to trace the gang of robbers who had deprived the citizens of their valuables for which several cases had been registered in different police stations of the city area. The Sajid Shaheed police interrogated Aashiq Hussain Oad, a resident of Multan Chungi Lahore. He disclosed that he along with Salamat Masih, a resident of District Shiekhupura, Mazhar Rana of Multan Chungi Lahore and ringleader Haider Ali Johar had formed a group of bandits sometimes ago.
He admitted that they had committed several robberies in city area. Following the information from the detainee, the police conducted raids and arrested the remaining members of the robbers’ gang. The police have recovered gold ornaments and cash Rs5.1 million besides seizing three weapons from them.
