Gujranwala: Cops thrash shopkeeper for refusing easy load
GUJRANWALA: Two constables thrashed a shopkeeper for refusing them easy load here on Thursday. Constables Arshad and Irshad of the Garjakh police, during patrolling, asked Ansar to send easy load to their mobile phones, but he refused to do so. On his refusal, they started beating him. On the victim’s hue and cry, shopkeepers, including Anjuman-e-Tajran president, gathered there and tried to rescue him. The constables called more policemen from the police station and beat up the shopkeepers, including Mehr Tariq, brother of former MPA Mehr Shabbir. Later, the policemen took shopkeepers to the police station and locked them.
MPA Tariq Gujjar and former MPA ShabbirMehr reached the Garjakh police station and apprised SHO Malik Adnan of the excesses committed by the cops. The SHO released the shopkeepers and promised to take stern action against the constables involved in the incident.
