Karachi: Policemen remanded
KARACHI: The same court remanded on Thursday three suspects in jail custody in a policeman murder case. Constables Rajab Ali and Intizar Ali and a civilian suspect, Mohammad Zeeshan, along with their absconding accomplices have been booked for allegedly killing ASI Syed Mohsin Ali Jaffari on Sept 4 within the remit of the Brigade police station. After the expiry of their physical remand, the investigating officer again produced the suspects before the ATC–III and the court sent them to prison on judicial remand till Oct 12 and directed the IO to submit a charge–sheet.
A case (FIR No.232/12) was registered under Sections 302 (premeditated murder), 109 (abetment) and 34 (common intention) of the PPC. The prosecution said that the deceased was a key witness in the murder case of the then SHO of the Brigade police station, inspector Nasir-ul-Hasan, who along with his guard was gunned down in an ambush in Lines Area on July 2, 2010.
