Lahore: Non-bailable arrest warrants of Future Concern CEO
LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Thursday directed the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to register a case against Future Concern Chief Executive Asim Malik, and issued his non–bailable arrest warrants for not appearing before the court. The court also directed police to produce the visa consultant company CEO in court on October 8. The court earlier rejected a medical certificate submitted by Asim Malik, seeking exemption from personal appearance in court. The judge had summoned the doctor of Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) who had issued the certificate to Asim Malik but the doctor did not turn up on repeated summons.
On Thursday, the court issued a show cause notice to the doctor for committing contempt of court by ignoring its directives. Dozens of petitions have been filed against Future Concern. Petitioners said that they had given money to the company’s chief executive officer for going abroad but they were defrauded.
