Man, 2 sons among 5 killed over old enmity in Malakwal
MALAKWAL: Five people, including a man and his two sons, were killed over an old enmity in MauzaParhanaLoke in the Miana Gondal police limits on Wednesday night. There had been an enmity between Sultan and Yari groups of Mauza Chak Alam. The Sultan Group had killed seven men of the Yari Group over a land issue in 2007. A case was registered against 16 people of the Sultan Group, including Sultan and his sons Iftikhar and Zafar Iqbal. However, they were released from jail a few days back. Sultan, his sons Iftikhar and Zafar and guests Irfan and Imtiaz alias Taj were sitting at dera when the accused, including Ahmad Yar and Manzoor Ahmad, reached there in police uniforms and forcibly took them to a deserted place in Mauza Parhana Loke.
Later, they opened indiscriminate fire at the five people, killing all of them on the spot. The police shifted the bodies to a Malakwal hospital for autopsy. The Miana Gondal police have registered a case against 26 accused, including Ahmad Yar, Manzoor Ahmed, Muhammad Nawaz, Iftikhar Ahmed, Umar Hayat and Mazhar Iqbal. However, no accused was arrested till the filing of the report.
