Rawalpindi: 12 outlaws arrested; arms recovered
RAWALPINDI: Rawat police officials arrested four suspicious dacoits from Ramiyal and recovered weapons from their possession. The suspicious robbers identified as Syed Ullah, Sheeren, Amjad Ali and Wali Muhammad. A 30-bore pistol with 3 bullets and 3 revolvers of 32-bore and 10 rounds have also been recovered by police.
Further investigation was on. Similarly, police, during action in various localities, held 8 outlaws and seized 1880 grams of Charas, 1 pistol of 30 bore with 4 bullets and a carbine with 4 cartridges from their possession. PS Ganjmandi Officials also apprehended a vehicle lifter namely Kahif and recovered a stolen motorcycle from him.
Meanwhile, City Police Officer Azhar Hameed Khokhar held an open katcheri at Kallar Syedan, listened to the public complaints against police and issued instructions for immediate removal of the grievances of the residents. On the occasion, Station House Officer Police Station Kallar Seydan Malik Afsar, other police officials and a large number of area residents were also present.
A citizen Khalid Mehmood lodged a complaint with CPO that a police constable Muzamil borrowed money from him but later refused to return it. Taking action, Azhar entrusted the inquiry to DSP Headquarters.
Iqbal Hussain informed CPO that a lady Nabila and others had illegally occupied on his piece of land and sought police help. CPO asked SHO to take notice of the issue and submit a report to CPO Office.
Similarly, a pile complaints have been lodged by the residents of flesh trade in the area, taking notice on which, CPO directed SHO to initiate action against the brothel houses. Muhammad Ashfaq filed an application in which he stated that the accused in his case got quashed the FIR with hoodwinking of local police. CPO, on this, assigned the task to ASP Kahuta M Jawad Tariq to probe the matter and send a report in this record.
An inhabitant Muhammad Ibrar lodged a complaint that police implicated him in false case and registered FIR against him. Taking notice, CPO Azhar Hameed Khokher directed SP Saddar Waheed-ur-Rehman Khattak to launch an inquiry into the allegations and submit a report with CPO Office.
