Doctor among 5 killed in Balochistan
QUETTA: Unidentified armed men killed a doctor in Mastung on Saturday night. Gunmen riding a bike opened indiscriminate fire on Dr Hameed, leaving him dead. The assailants managed to escape from the scene. At least four other persons were killed and three injured in incidents of violence in Balochistan. A person was killed in a land mine blast at Qallat in district Dera Bugti while another was injured. Two police personnel were killed and three, including a SHO, were injured in firing by unknown armed men who targeted a police van in another incident at Qallat.
In another incident, one person was killed in a firing incident on Saryab road in the provincial capital.
Unidentified gunmen attacked a Nato container and injured its driver and cleaner.
The oil tanker, after supplying oil to Nato forces, was travelling to Karachi from Quetta when some armed men riding a motorcycle opened indiscriminate fire on it and later torched it in the Mastung area.
The tanker was completely burnt. However, the driver jumped out from the tanker and managed to escape from the scene. The attackers managed to escape.
Meanwhile, a gas pipeline was blown up by some unknown persons in the area of Naseerabad causing suspension of gas to several areas.
As per details, near Nabi Baksh Khosa some unknown persons blew up the 24–inch gas pipeline that was supplying gas to the Uch power plant.
Due to destruction of the gas pipeline, the gas supply was suspended to several areas of Balochistan, Sindh and several cities of Punjab.
