Lahore: 8 culprits arrested
LAHORE: At least eight culprits involved in multiple crime strikes in different parts of the City were arrested by Saddar Police on Saturday. Police rounded up Zulfiqar alias Bao, Muhammad Tariq, Muhammad Salim, Ali Muhammad, Mustafa, Muhammad Iqbal, Zulfiqar Ali and Ghulam Hussain from separate areas of the City. Police have recovered illegal firearms, narcotics, cash and other stolen valuables from their possession. Also, some unidentified men strangled a 40-year-old man, yet to be identified, under mysterious circumstances in the Ghalib Market area on Saturday. As per details, locals spotted the body and informed the police and made numerous announcements in nearby mosques but none of the citizens claimed to own the body.
A 25-year-old pregnant female Naureen Bibi died because of alleged negligence of doctors at the General Hospital on the same day. The bereaved family members said the woman was admitted at the emergency ward where she was administered a wrong injection, which resulted in her instant death.
They staged a protest demonstration against the doctors and were dispersed when Kot Lakhpat police assured them of providing justice. Also, the body of a 15-year-old housemaid was found from the washroom of a house in the Shahdman police precincts on Saturday. The deceased was identified as Rabia Bibi, a resident of Rana Town in Ferozewala.
Meanwhile, goods, electronics and other valuables worth million of rupees were reduced to ashes in separate fire incidents in the City.
