Sargodha: 2 food officials found guilty of corruption
SARGODHA: Two officials of the Food Department have been found guilty of embezzlement of Rs3.6 million at during wheat procurement drive at wheat purchase centre Sial More. Following surfacing the charges, the Anti–Corruption Establishment Director tasked Circle Officer Muhammad Azeem Warraich with conducting a probe into the matter. During the investigation, the main accused Food Inspector Shahbaz Khan fled away.
However, after a keen investigation, the AEC authorities declared both the accused food inspector Shahbaz Khan and food grain supervisor Saif Ullah responsible for plundering of national exchequer.
It is pertinent to mention here that Deputy Director Food Syed Arif Raza Bukhari had already penalized the officials after a departmental inquiry against the accused.
