Mingora: Malala attack: Over 200 miscreants arrested
MINGORA: At least 200 people including driver of the van and guard of the school have been arrested in the ongoing investigation into the Tuesday’s attack on Malala Yousufzai, a children rights activist in Swat area, SAMAA reports Thursday. A probe team of police inspected the attack site in connection with the investigations and garnered the clues from there. They also took statements of the people on the occasion. Meantime, over 200 people including Malala’s driver and school guard were taken in custody from Mingora and its suburbs.
Police also took information from the van fellows of Malala, a student in Khushhal Girls High School, Mingora.
Police said they strongly hope for headway in the probe. Also, special security arrangements have been made at the residence of Gul Makai, a penname of Malala, who wrote diary in BBC Urdu during Taliban insurgency in 2008.
Malala clinched an elevated niche for herself for fighting for education for the girls of the area. She waged a campaign to get her re-opened and succeeded in her bid.
