Peshawar: Armed men escape after clash with police
PESHAWAR: The cops of the Sarband Police Station clashed with armed men on the boundary with Khyber Agency on Wednesday. A police official said they were tipped off about the presence of armed men near the Sheikh Mero Baba shrine on the boundary with Khyber Agency. A heavy contingent of police was rushed there subsequently. The official said the armed men opened fire on the policemen who retaliated. The armed men before escaping also fired two rockets that landed near a private school. However, no casualty was reported. A source said the attackers were members of the local Amn Lashkar.
