ISLAMABAD: A former high–ranking officer of a spy agency has been kidnapped and his driver shot dead in the federal capital this morning, SAMAA reports Thursday. According to police sources, the abduction was carried out from Islamabad’s DHA, Phase–II, where Pak Army’s ex–officer Brigadier (retd.) Tahir Masud along with driver, had hardly driven out of his residence at 8am, when four miscreants, riding a white car, intercepted him at a little distance from his residence.
Driver Muhammed Hussain tried to resist their kidnapping attempt and was critically injured by kidnappers with a gunshot. He was rushed to the hospital but he succumbed to injuries on way to the hospital.
