6 suspects arrested in Karachi raid
KARACHI: The personnel of Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) on Sunday claimed to have detained at least six men affiliated with outlawed People’s Amn Committee (PAC) in a targeted raid in Machhar colony, Keamari area. According a to rangers spokesman, rangers also recovered hand grenades and weapons from their possession; however, identities of the accused could not be disclosed yet. The detainees were taken to undisclosed destination for questioning. Further investigation was underway. When contacted, PAC member Zafar Bloch denied any arrest of PAC men during operation.
Separately, Crime Investigation Department (CID) claimed to have nabbed a target killer belonging to a religious party and recovered weapon from his possession. SSP Fayyaz Khan said that on a tip-off CID personnel conducted a raid in Allah Wali Chowrangi, Tariq road and nabbed a target killer identified as Faheem alias TT and recovered one TT pistol form his possession. He alleged that accused had killed a man namely Sabir Hussian Gilgiti within the limits of Brigade police station. He said the accused was also involved in heinous crimes, including extortion and robberies.
