Bahawalpur: Cashier killed on resistance
BAHAWALPUR: Three unidentified dacoits looted Rs1 million and killed the cashier of a private medicine company when he offered the resistance here the other day. A Private medicine Company’s van was on the way back to office after routine sale. Meanwhile, the dacoits started indiscriminate fire on the van at busy Gari Ganj Bazaar. As a result, one bullet hit cashier ArshadQureshi and he died on the sport while driver and gunman received serious injuries. They were shifted to Bahawal Victoria Hospital. The eyewitness said that three veiled assailants, riding a motorbike, looted the van on the busiest road. They said that a police pocket also set up near the sport where the incident took place.
The people of the area said that the attack on the business community was a clear proof of the police failure. They demanded the Punjab Chief Minister and the Punjab IG to order the police to provide security to the business community. The police have registered a case against culprits.
