Gujranwala: Violation of building by-laws; Plaza owner, 8 officials booked
GUJRANWALA: The Anti–Corruption Establishment has registered a case against a plaza owner and eight officers for violating the building by-laws. Dr Asif Javed and Amanullah advocate, in an application to the ACE DG, alleged that Sheikh Muhammad Shafiq had built a plaza at Satellite Town in violation of the building by-laws with the connivance of the officials concerned. The ACE DG ordered Director Yawar Hussain to hold an inquiry into the matter. After the inquiry, a case was recommended against the plaza owner and officials concerned.
Those booked are: Housing and Planning former director Zafar Iqbal Paracha, Nandpur Town TMO M Aslam Ghumman, TOR M Aslam Qamar, Imran Asghar and Khuda Dad Tarar, TO Pervaiz Pasha, Building Inspectors Riaz and Saleemuddin and plaza owner Shafiq.
