Attock: Kidnappers arrested
ATTOCK: Police have arrested a gang of kidnappers who were involved in the murder and kidnapping of a young boy. The district police spokesman has informed local newsmen here on Tuesday that a young boy Muhammad Suhalah, son of Muhammad Khan resident of Utmanabad village, Attock, was kidnapped by some unknown kidnappers on Sept 29 and who demanded Rs12 million as ransom. On the complaint of the father, the Saddar Hasanabdal Police registered a kidnapping for ransom case against the unknown kidnappers and started the investigation.
A police team during the investigation traced the accused kidnappers from the mobile data of cell phones, used to communicate with the relatives of the kidnapped boy.
Later, all four kidnappers Sher Ali, Rozi Khan, Islam and Dill Nawz residents of Swat were arrested.
During the interrogation, they disclosed to the police that they had killed the boy Muhammad Suhalah on failure to pay ransom money and later threw his body in a deserted well near Pind Mehri village.
On identification, police team led by SP Investigation Abbass Majid Marwat rushed to the area and recovered the body from the well with the help of Rescue 1122 and shifted it to the Tehsil Headquarters hospital for postmortem.
