Karachi: Owners remanded for further questioning
KARACHI: Two owners of Ali Enterprises, the ill-fated factory in Baldia Town where a fire had killed 259 workers on September 11, Shahid Bhaila and Arshahd Bhaila, and their general manager MansoorIdrees were remanded for further questioning for two days on Thursday. However, the order given by Judicial Magistrate (West-II) Sohail Ahmed Mashori said the three accused should be medically examined before being taken to the police station and after the completion of the investigation process.
Investigation Officer (IO) Jahanzeb had moved an application seeking the physical remand of the owners and the general manager of the factory for interrogation. The three accused had previously been sent to jail, which, according to the IO, had created hurdles in the investigations.
